At MPI, we believe the best engineers combine strong theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Our Engineering Co-Op Program is designed to provide aspiring engineers with real-world exposure, starting in our manufacturing operations—where innovation and precision drive success.
As a co-op participant with MPI, you will begin your journey in the heart of our manufacturing facilities, gaining valuable insights into the production processes, equipment, and systems that form the backbone of our operations. This hands-on experience will deepen your understanding of how engineering principles are applied in real time, from optimizing production lines to implementing lean manufacturing techniques and ensuring product quality.
Throughout your time in the program, you will work closely with our experienced engineers and production teams, learning to analyze and improve manufacturing processes, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and contribute to new production strategies. You’ll also gain exposure to areas such as process automation, quality assurance, and supply chain management—all essential components of modern manufacturing environments.
After the initial manufacturing-focused phase, you’ll transition into more engineering-specific tasks, such as working on design projects, conducting simulations, or engaging in research and development activities—all while being mentored by industry leaders.
Our goal is to prepare you for a successful engineering career by providing a well-rounded experience that bridges the gap between theory and practice. Whether you’re pursuing mechanical, electrical, controls, industrial, or systems engineering, this program will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience to thrive in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven industries.
