MPI Certified Remanufacturing Process Steps

Phase I: Quotation:

  • Send MPI a picture from all four sides of your machine along with the serial number if it is an MPI machine.
  • We will review and provide a plan and quotation to remanufacture your machine with new, state-of-the -art components to achieve superior injection performance.

Phase II: Order:

  • Customer places a Purchase Order and submits downpayment.
  • MPI begins the process of ordering Parts and creating Sub-Assemblies in advance of machine arrival.
  • A schedule for the customer to ship the machine to MPI is agreed on.
  • The machine is received at MPI in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Remanufacturing

Phase III: Rebuild:

  • If required, MPI will plasma cut and modify the frame.
  • The frame will be completely cleaned and prepared for paint.
  • The frame will be painted in an environmentally controlled paint booth in the same manner as a new machine.
  • Platens are Blanchard ground and resurfaced.
  • Clamp cylinder will be evaluated for refurbishment or replacement.
  • Machine is rebuilt using new sub-assemblies, new electrical panel, PLC and wiring throughout.

Phase IV: Testing:

  • Machine is certified using a rigorous 100-point check assessment and throughput tested.
  • Ensure the machine meets or exceeds OEM specifications.
  • Independent detailed inspection by MPI’s Quality Assurance team.

Phase V: Logistics:

  • Completed machine is shipped back to the customer via their account.
  • Commissioning is not included, but maybe be quoted separately if requested.
  • Average Leadtime is 8 to 12 weeks from receipt of machine at MPI.
