MPI Participates in Dutchess BOCES Skilled Trades Fair
On May 8, MPI proudly participated in the Dutchess BOCES Skilled Trades Fair, joining over 60 businesses and educational institutions dedicated to connecting with the next generation of skilled workers. The event was held at the Career and Technical Institute and welcomed students, career-changers, and job seekers from across Dutchess County.
MPI representatives Marian Hutchins, Seif Qaqish, Jim Reap, and Stephanie Scivolette engaged with attendees throughout the evening, sharing insights on careers in manufacturing and engineering, and offering guidance on how to build rewarding futures in the trades.
“Events like this allow MPI to connect with the community in a meaningful way. It’s about more than just recruitment—it’s about inspiring the next generation and showing students and adults alike that there is a valuable and fulfilling future in skilled trades,” said Marian Hutchins, Senior Human Resource Manager at MPI. “We’re proud to support Dutchess County’s workforce development efforts.”
The fair was not only a recruitment opportunity, but also a moment of mentorship—helping attendees like aspiring welder Noah Flandreau and future designer Alex Neal discover new career pathways. MPI was honored to be part of this impactful evening.
