MPI Impresses at JFS World Conference in Japan and the ICI Technical Conference & Expo in Pittsburgh, PA
Poughkeepsie, NY: MPI, the worldwide leader in wax-room and ceramic-core injection, assembly, and automation equipment, had an opportunity to impress at both the Japan Foundry Society World Conference on Investment Casting in Kobe, Japan as well as the ICI Technical Conference & Expo in Pittsburgh, PA.
The JFS World Conference was a huge success. MPI showcased its innovation by shipping one of the new Model 20-12 Automated Sticky Wax Assembly Systems to the event, where it operated live throughout the conference. The Model 20-12 is the sticky wax version of its highly regarded MPI 20-14 APAS, designed for lower volume, high changeover, job-shop foundries. The system performed continuous live demonstrations that consistently drew large crowds, impressing attendees as the only fully operational piece of equipment on the exhibition floor.
The show generated significant interest, resulting in multiple new inquiries for MPI’s equipment and automation solutions, primarily from Southeast Asian customers who might not typically travel to attend the ICI Conference in the United States. Additionally, MPI held a series of productive, high-level meetings with existing and prospective customers to discuss current opportunities, continue negotiations and open new discussions. At the close of the conference, the Model 20-12 unit was shipped directly to a new customer in Japan, where it was successfully installed and commissioned.
The ICI Technical Conference & Expo was equally successful, being held just three weeks later in Pittsburgh, PA. MPI’s inviting tabletop display included a large-screen TV showcasing its Model 20-12 Automated Assembly System video, an interactive 20-20 Process Vision Graphing Instrument along with additional product videos and literature demonstrating MPI’s latest technological achievements and strong commitment to automation.
A highlight of the technical portion of the conference was an engaging presentation delivered by MPI President, Aaron Phipps and Patrick Byrne, describing how MPI is incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its operations. The paper called “Bridging the Knowledge Gap” addressed two challenges familiar to many in manufacturing: The time lost when critical information is scattered across multiple systems, and the need to capture and preserve the expertise of senior staff approaching retirement. The session drew strong interest and generated valuable follow-up questions and discussions throughout the conference.
MPI also co-sponsored a memorable Customer Appreciation Dinner Cruise on Monday evening in partnership with Buntrock and others. Guests enjoyed great food, “faux” casino-style entertainment, and prize giveaways for several lucky customers. The evening was a resounding success and enjoyed by all.
“The industry continues to show robust activity, said Aaron Phipps, President of MPI. “We are excited about the future of the industry and remaining an innovative force in its development.” MPI once again left a positive and lasting impression, reinforcing its reputation and commitment to being the leader in the industry.
MPI extends its gratitude to both the Japan Foundry Society and the Investment Casting Institute for putting on two amazing conferences. Our heartfelt thanks also goes out to everyone who stopped by to learn more about MPI products and services.
