mpi-nov-ici-show-2012MPI Inc. the worldwide leader in wax-room equipment has always made a dramatic impression at the annual ICI Trade Show and Conference – and this year was no exception. The theme of this year’s show “Let MPI Pattern Production Be Your Lifesaver,” was extremely well received.

MPI recently constructed a state-of-the-art automated wax injection facility at their New York headquarters. It uses highly sophisticated robotic technology to cost effectively produce patterns which can be shipped directly to their customers.

“We realize that more and more organizations are looking to increase capacity, add process capability or simply improve quality,” said Bruce Phipps, President of MPI. “MPI’s pattern production and assembly services allow a customer to experience all the benefits of automation without having to make a capital purchase.”

MPI gave away metal bottle openers that were created at MPI’s pattern production facility to help demonstrate the quality that is achievable through automation. “We brought finished assemblies so that visitors could see first-hand an actual product produced at our pattern production facility,” said Jeff Rich VP/GM. The MPI team also handed out Lifesaver candy rolls customized with the MPI logo to booth attendees in support of the “Lifesaver” theme.

Bruce Phipps kicked off the show by delivering his paper “Digital Technology in the Wax Room” to a crowded room.  The paper highlighted the significance of using digital technology for the collection and analysis of key metrics which leads to the highest levels of process control in the wax room.

High levels of process control combined with automation are what enables MPI to produce high quality wax patterns and assemblies at a highly competitive price. MPI is able to outperform manually created assemblies in terms of accuracy, repeatability, throughput and efficiency, and can then pass those savings along to their customers.

MPI extends its gratitude to the Investment Casting Institute for putting on a great show and to all the wonderful people that stopped by to learn more about MPI pattern production services.
