MPI Announces New Addition to Wax-Injection Product Line
Lower Cost – High Quality Machine Introduced

March 2012

New MPI Model LC55-15-18 - Wax-Injection ProductsMPI has long been acknowledged as the leader in wax-room equipment by developing machines that offer state-of-the-art technology with innovative designs that maximize the value of paste wax and process control. Quality-minded foundry owners who seek the highest levels of sophistication, innovation, technology and service have always sought after MPI’s line of Smart Machines. MPI machines offer far superior levels of control and operator feedback, which reduces the overall cost of ownership and creates value far beyond the nominal difference in purchase price found in lesser quality machines.

By listening to feedback from our customers, we came to realize that not every customer, in every application, requires the same level of operator control and feedback. “Our customers have asked us for a less expensive machine that still delivers the high level of quality associated with MPI equipment,” says Mark Haas, Global Sales Manager, MPI. “They want high quality paste injection with 5-zone temperature control and a hydraulic system that delivers consistent wax flow and pressure.”

Armed with this important feedback and the lessons learned from over 40 years of experience that includes several thousand machines in the field, MPI went back to the drawing board and created a wax injector that delivers exactly what these customers have requested. It is with great pride that MPI introduces its newest model of wax-injection machine.

Designated the LC55-15-18, the new machine is based on the time-tested MPI Model 55 series wax-injection machine. The new unit, our base model, will be offered as a manual machine with 15T clamp force and 18 inches of daylight. As a cousin to the other model 55s, it offers the same paste wax conditioning and injection system and is driven by the same hydraulics package. “By using many of the same proven, and already stocked, components MPI has engineered a robust machine that is highly capable,” says Keith Gardener, Product Engineering Manager. “We have taken away some of the bells and whistles needed in high-end production while leaving the most needed capabilities to meet stringent process control requirements.”

Superior quality and value have been the hallmark of every MPI machine ever produced and that certainly holds true with this new model. “I am proud of my engineering team. They have designed a lower cost, high quality, wax machine to compete with low-cost competitors,” indicates Bruce Phipps, President, MPI. “What is really special is that we can now compete on cost without lowering our standards in order to match the competition. The new LC55-15-18 model is available immediately.
