Today, its all about throughput, and a fast efficient machine setup impacts your bottom line. Take a minute to see what MPI is doing to improve machine setup times. QuickChange Die Clamping Accurately fasten a die to a press in as little as 60 seconds- Unheard of? Not with MPIs QuickChange Die Clamping system. A die guide strip is attached to both the moving and stationary platens. A matching straight slot is machined into the die. Die inserts (with matching tee slots) are bolted to the die. With the platens of the press closed to within 3mm (1/8") of the closed die height, the die is slid into the press against the stop. The press is then fully closed and, with the flip of a switch, the clamp cylinders are retracted, clamping the die securely to the platens. By using the dies center line for locating and clamping, this system allows existing dies to be modified at a lesser cost than dies which must maintain common outside dimensions. Jib Crane Quick and safe changeovers of a wax die by a single operator. What more need be said? This feature quickly pays for itself in reduced set up times and a more efficient use of manpower. ADS (Automatic Die Setup) with Process Controls The central location for access to all machine parameters. Machines supplied with an OIT (Operator Interface Terminal) provide the operator with a single location for automatic setup of a wax die, and process control of the injection cycle. MPIs ADS with Process Control simply allows for the rapid die changes from a stored "recipe". This results in significantly less setup time and consistent throughput from setup to setup of a die. 3 Axis Nozzle Positioning Motor driven x-y-z nozzle positioning allows for die designs with the most direct wax flow path and therefore optimum pattern fill. |
