Process Optimization

We are keenly aware that optimizing throughput is more than how well a machine is engineered and built – It’s about how well it consistently performs year after year. Sure – the engineering and quality of a machine is important but just as important is what happens after delivery. That includes on-site training, technical support, documentation, worldwide parts and service, upgradable configurations and especially our optional Process Optimization Program called POP.

Technical Support

MPI is dedicated to assisting our customers with technical difficulties, part orders, machine maintenance, emergency service calls, and new machine commissioning. MPI’s engineers and production personnel stand by to help with your inquiries.

MPI Service Department

845-471-7630 Service Phone Line      Monday thru Friday
845-471-2485 Fax           7:00AM to 5:00 PM EST USA

Phone Support

With a worldwide Sales and Service network, technical support from vour local area representative is typically available within hours. Additionally, MPI’s Parts and Service department is on call from 7:00AM to 5:00 PM EST Monday thru Friday to answer questions and process part orders. To expedite your request or address your concern, please have the MPI model and serial number immediately accessible to facilitate our research. Please use our part numbers when ordering.

For off hours we have voicemail, fax and Email. In this manner, we can commence part orders, researching problems and get started in solving queries when our customer may not be reachable until the next day.

Parts

Most parts are stocked at MPI. We can send them overnight upon request. Please place orders as early as possible in the day. To guarantee same day shipment, orders must be placed by 2:30pm EST. A service technician is available for phone support when installing the new part.

Emergency Service Calls

If your MPI machine is out of service, our technical support engineers can immediately address the problem with phone support. An MPI service technician is available within 48 hours when needed.

On-Site Training

The Goal of MPI’s Onsite Training program is to help our strategic partners achieve optimum throughput.

We believe that Onsite Training is a continuous process. Initial training as well as training of specific functions should be available to all involved including - machine operators and maintenance staff. MPI has developed a comprehensive training program designed to be delivered at your location by one of our staff. All courses are supported by documentation including a comprehensive training manual.

Our program is designed so that we not only train your key people on how to operate and maintain our systems. We also train your trainers on how to use our documentation to present the course material to your operators and maintenance staff. Think about the advantages… as a subscriber to our onsite training courses you not only have key people trained by our staff, you also gain competent staff trainers available to train all your operators and maintenance staff at the best time for your operation

Courses currently available focus on the following subjects:

/TMOOO1-Manual, Operator training, ADS

The ADS training course is designed to improve the customer’s understanding of the different process controls that MPI equipment is able to perform when set up correctly. The focus of the course is to train the operator on how to maximize throughput by performing a proper set up, quickly recognizing pattern defects, identifying the probable cause and making the appropriate set up adjustments.

/TMOOO2-Manual, Operator training, NON-ADS

The Non-ADS training course is designed to expand the customer’s understanding of wax process control (MANUAL FLOW/PRESSURE CONTROL). This course can be used on MPI and NON-MPI equipment. The course emphasizes the importance of wax preparation and handling

/TMOOO3-Manual, Operator training, MAINT

This course is designed to train the customer’s maintenance department on how to optomize the performance of MPI Equipment. This course is more than just a review on how to change seals, O rings and filters. The thrust of the course is to train the Maintenance Department on how conduct daily, weekly and annual inspections and services and how to identify potential problems and correct them prior to unscheduled down time.

Documentation

The best instruction in the world will be of limited use once the instructor leaves…unless the material is documented.

POP (Process Optimization Program)

If you are weary of trying to anticipate WHEN your wax room throughput will be reduced by an unplanned machine downtime, you might want to consider MPI’s POP contract (Process Optimization Program). Join the growing list of customers who are taking control of their wax room reliability and throughput.

Let’s say your wax room has 4 MPI wax injectors in operation. An MPI POP contract would schedule 4 support visits (one machine approximately every 3 months). During this scheduled 3 day visit our service engineer will review how the specific MPI wax injector is being used, make recommendations on how to optimize throughput with both procedures and unit adjustments, and train the operators on how to implement the recommendations and required adjustments to the current operating procedures. A POP Service includes a function test of each system, inspection of all wear components and replacement of consumables including filters, seals and O rings.

Additionally, during the scheduled, visit the technician would also review the operation and performance of each of the other 3 units under contract. As a follow up to each service visit, customers receive a written report. The report includes a comprehensive review of the findings of our service engineer regarding the condition of the specific machine, observed set up and run procedures, set up adjustments that were reviewed with your operators and maintenance personnel. Observations of the other MPI machines under contract are also included in the report. Before the final report is submitted, it is reviewed by the MPI Service department and the data compared to data from previous support visits. This process is of great value to customers because it helps identify and avoid potential problems or component failures before they happen.

Upgradeable Configuration

MPI Units are upgradeable. Our modular design allows for options to be added in the field at a later date.

An example of this is a recent announcement of a spray lubrication upgrade for the MPI 44.; This upgrade was engineered to take advantage of recently available technology that dramatically cuts maintenance time, downtimes, and the consumption of mold release fluids.
